MAA Takaful Berhad (MAA Takaful) saluted its top agents at the MAA Takaful Recognition Dinner held at the Malaysian Petroleum Club in Kuala Lumpur today.
Held to honour agents who have outperformed themselves, the super achievers were presented with awards as recognition for their tireless efforts in securing new business for the company.
A total of 18 agents were honoured with 14 of them qualifying for the MAA Takaful International Million Dollar Round Table award and two each for the MAA Takaful International Court of the Table and MAA Takaful International Top of the Table awards respectively.
The highlight of the evening was the presentation of the awards to the most outstanding agents. The two most outstanding MAA Takaful International Top of Table achievers, the highest award given out during the night, were Fauziah Mohd Amin and Sarip Ahmad from Kuala Lumpur.
For the MAA Takaful Court of Table qualifiers, the two outstanding achievers were Terrence Teh from Penang and Mohd Hamzavi Md Zin from Johor Bahru.
The event was graced by MAA Holdings Berhad (MAAH) Chief Executive Officer and Group Managing Director Muhamad Umar Swift (who is also Director of MAA Takaful).
Muhamad Umar Swift gave an inspiring speech to the agents during the event and said the year 2007 was a challenging but exciting year for all.
“We launched MAA Takaful in July last year and within a short period of 6 months, 18 of our consultants have qualified for these prestigious awards.
“This is success driven from within, by hard work, determination and full commitment to the business,” he said, adding that MAA Takaful’s performance was very encouraging despite the company being a newcomer to the Takaful industry.
Umar said MAA Takaful’s strategy was to recruit and additional 2,500 agents as the recruitment of quality agents was critical to the growth of any insurance company and its business.
In all the MAA Takaful Recognition Dinner had all the hallmarks of a grand celebration.
